Cylinder Sticking
Premonitions
Loss of speed, weak operation, muffled sound, and excessively high water temperature (over 100°C on a water temperature gauge). In this case, sprinkle some water on the engine components; it will quickly evaporate. The main cause is a severe water shortage and a failure of the water cooling system. If the engine is shut down immediately, cylinder sticking may occur.
Remedy: Run the engine at idle speed for a while or crank the crankshaft to aid cooling, allowing the water temperature to drop to around 40°C. Then slowly add cooling water. Be careful not to add cooling water immediately, as this can cause deformation or cracking of engine components due to a sudden and rapid drop in local temperature.
