Causes of Piston Partial Cylinder Failure

2021-01-20

The main reasons for piston bias are as follows:

(1) When boring the cylinder, the positioning is incorrect, which causes the non-perpendicularity error of the cylinder center line and the crankshaft main journal center line to exceed the limit.

(2) The non-parallelism of the center lines of the large and small head bearing holes caused by the bending of the connecting rod; the non-parallelism of the two center lines of the connecting rod journal and the main journal exceeds the limit.

(3) The cylinder block or cylinder liner is deformed, causing the vertical error of the cylinder center line to the crankshaft main bearing center line to exceed the limit.

(4) The crankshaft produces bending and torsion deformation, and the maintenance is not carried out according to the technical specifications, so that the centerline of the connecting rod journal and the centerline of the main journal are not in the same plane; the processing of the connecting rod copper sleeve does not meet the technical requirements, and the deflection has not been corrected .

(5) The piston pin hole is not reamed correctly; the center line of the piston pin is not perpendicular to the center line of the piston, etc.
