Introduction to Cylinder Head Machining
Planar processing: Planar processing is carried out on the top surface, bottom surface and intake/exhaust surface of the cylinder head, which is accomplished by using high-precision machining centers and tools.
Rough reference machining: Generally, the bottom surface of the cylinder head is selected as the rough reference, and then the top surface, sand outlet holes and air passage planes and other positions are machined accordingly.
Shell surface processing: It involves the installation of devices such as CAM covers, cylinder gaskets, controllers and shells, which play a role in dust prevention and noise reduction.
Cutting processing: A crucial step in preparing for subsequent procedures, followed by cleaning to ensure that the surface of the cylinder block is free of impurities and create a clean environment for subsequent processing.
Leak test: Check whether the sealing performance of the cylinder block meets the standards.
CAM shaft hole processing: First, a short tool holder processes one CAM shaft hole to the semi-finish size. After the tool is withdrawn, the long tool holder completes the semi-finish and finish processing of all CAM shaft holes.
