Check the quality inspection of cylinder liner

2025-08-18

The quality inspection of cylinder liner products mainly includes the inspection of key indicators such as dimensional accuracy, surface quality, material performance and sealing performance. The specific methods are as follows:

Dimensional accuracy detection
Youdaoplaceholder0 Inner diameter measurement ‌ : Use an inner diameter micrometer or a cylinder gauge to measure the inner diameter at different heights and circumferences of the cylinder barrel. The standard tolerance is usually ±0.02mm, with a roundness error of ≤0.05mm and a cylindricity error of ≤0.10mm. ‌

Youdaoplaceholder0 Hole diameter and coaxiality ‌ : Key dimensions such as the main bearing hole and CAM shaft hole are inspected by a three-coordinate measuring instrument to ensure that the hole diameter accuracy and coaxiality meet the requirements. ‌
Surface quality inspection
Youdaoplaceholder0 Visual inspection ‌ : Visually inspect surface cracks, scratches, corrosion and other defects. Use a magnifying glass as an aid if necessary. ‌
Youdaoplaceholder0 Crack inspection ‌ : Penetrant inspection or magnetic particle inspection is used to detect surface and internal cracks. ‌
Material performance testing
Youdaoplaceholder0 Hardness testing ‌ : Using a Brinell or Rockwell hardness tester, the hardness values of parts such as cylinder barrels and bearing housings are tested. The standard range is usually HB 180-250 or HRC 20-40. ‌
Youdaoplaceholder0 Chemical composition analysis ‌ : The content of elements such as carbon, silicon, and chromium is detected by spark direct reading spectrometer. For example, the carbon content of cast iron material is 3.1%-3.5%, and the silicon content is 1.8%-2.5%. ‌
Sealing and performance testing
Youdaoplaceholder0 hydrostatic test ‌ : Inject pressurized water or gas to test the sealing of the water channel. The leakage rate should be ≤0.05mL/min (at a pressure of 0.5MPa).
Youdaoplaceholder0 Wear resistance test ‌ : The load-bearing and heat dissipation performance of the cylinder block is tested through simulated working conditions to verify the wear resistance of the material. ‌
