Surface treatment
Phosphating treatment: A phosphate layer is formed on the surface to enhance corrosion resistance and assist in running-in.
Chromium/nickel-based coating (high-end applications) : Enhanced wear resistance is achieved through electroplating or thermal spraying techniques.
Laser cladding (new technology) : Cladding a wear-resistant alloy layer (such as tungsten carbide) on the friction surface.
Quality inspection
Dimensional inspection: Verify the inner diameter, roundness, cylindricity, etc. through a three-coordinate measuring machine.
Hardness test: The surface hardness should reach 180 to 240 HB (for common cast iron) or higher (for alloy cast iron).
Metallographic analysis: Check the morphology of graphite (Type A graphite is preferred) and the matrix structure (pearlite proportion > 90%).
Pressure test: Conduct pressure resistance and sealing tests by simulating engine operating conditions.
Packaging and rust prevention
After cleaning, apply anti-rust oil and use moisture-proof packaging to prevent rusting during transportation and storage.
