How to identify the characteristics of a good crankshaft product supplier?
When sourcing crankshafts, choose high-quality suppliers, focusing on stable quality, reliable delivery, competitive pricing, comprehensive service, and trustworthy partnership.
I. Core Hard Capabilities: Product Quality and Technology (First Priority)
Raw Material Control: Materials adapted to procurement scenarios (ductile iron QT700-2/42CrMo alloy steel, etc.), with steel mill traceability and furnace number tracking. Incoming materials undergo spectral/hardness/metallographic testing, and reports can be provided;
Processing Technology: Equipped with high-precision equipment such as CNC crankshaft grinding machines and coordinate measuring machines. Core processes (forging/casting/nitriding/dynamic balancing) are mature, meeting accuracy standards and ensuring batch consistency;
Quality Control System: Full-process testing (raw materials → processing → ex-factory), 100% testing at critical points, each crankshaft has a unique identifier for traceability;
II. Production Capacity and Delivery: Ensuring Uninterrupted Production
Capacity Matching: Annual/monthly capacity is verifiable, actual capacity ≥ 120% of annual procurement demand.
Controllable Delivery: Clear delivery cycle, written commitment to delivery, dedicated protective packaging for logistics, preventing transportation damage and rust;
Emergency and Flexibility: Can handle small-batch customization/modification, and provide advance notice of delivery delays;
Inventory Management: Inventory data can be shared, supporting emergency replenishment.
III. Practical Verification: Avoiding Verbal Promises, Verifying in Practice
Sample Testing: Request 3-5 samples and entrust a third-party authoritative institution to conduct comprehensive testing (material/accuracy/dynamic balancing, etc.). Cooperation will only be considered if the samples meet the standards;
On-site Factory Inspection: Focus on checking raw material traceability records, high-precision equipment operation, quality control laboratory testing procedures, and finished product batch identification. Verify capacity/certification and original contract documents;
